To Fill an Empty Heart

Your arms tremble as you fiercely gather
Weeping wishes in a dry valley.
You’re a wanderer weaving an aching womb
Between know & echo.
Startled like a grebe
Crashing a wake,
Throbbing with blurred sorrow,
Yet without a song.

  1. Didn’t know you wrote poetry. Hoping to read more. Heavy, and thoughtful, this one is. Thinking I’ll let my addled brain mull on this one for a while. Thank you, Lee Carlton E. Kelly
